Job Description

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building the robust, scalable, and secure backend services that power our entire platform. You will tackle complex challenges in system architecture, data management, and performance to ensure our applications are reliable and efficient.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure RESTful APIs and microservices.
Architect and manage complex database schemas for both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Firestore) databases.
Take ownership of the security, reliability, and performance of our backend systems through robust monitoring, alerting, and testing.
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and work with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) to ensure smooth deployment and operations.
Mentor other engineers, promote best practices in code and design, and contribute to architectural decisions.

Qualifications

5+ years of backend development experience in a product-driven environment.
Expert proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Node.js, Python, or Go.
Extensive experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, including serverless and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Deep understanding of system design, microservices architecture, and data modeling.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
